TALK ABOUT YANTLET GUNNERY TESTING STATION – SHORT NOTICE

Ian Bull, a member of The Naval Dockyards Society, is giving a talk on the Yantlet Gunnery Testing Station on April 18th at 12 noon, at the Greenwich Heritage Centre,  Artillery Square,  Royal Arsenal, London, SE18 6ST.

Yantlet Gunnery Testing Station, situated on the Isle of Grain, was used from 1917 for testing heavy ordnance, including naval guns, through firing across the Thames. It was an extension of the Shoeburyness establishment.
