This fourth Ordnance Society Artillery Survey has been produced by Ordnance Society member Paul Williams to record the many British Rifled Muzzle Loading Guns still in existence in the UK and across the world.
The data is in a similar but in a smaller format to our National Artillery Survey of the UK, with a range of data on individual guns, including links to photographs where available.
The first version of this database now been updated to version 6 and added to the website. The latest version includes RMLs located in New Zealand, Australia and Portland, Dorset, England.
There are now 206 guns included, that are located in Museums, Institutions, Parks and private collections. Many are unknown outside their foreign ‘home’ and they are a part of our history which has not been studied or recorded in its entirety.
