with the demise of D P & G Military Publishing, does anyone know where their collection of ordnance manuals ended up. There were over 90 listed in the collection. Hopefully they may re-surface, but their loss leaves a massive hole to be filled.

Hello George, bad news I’m afraid; Bryan Martin kept his files electronically and because he lived alone, we didn’t find out that he had died until a few weeks after the sad event. His PC and laptop had been disposed of by then, so unfortunately the data died with him. The Society was very sad at his loss, but also that his files were also a loss.

I’ve never heard of the place, but a Google search implies it could have been part of the Cordite factory at Caerwent – is this a place you recognise? If so I’ve found a history of the factory. Trevor Parker
