ANIMATIONS

The latest animation shows the operation of the Armstrong 7-inch (110pr) Rifled Breech Loader on both the Moncrieff Disappearing carriage and also the fixed Sliding Carriage when the gun was fired.  In addition there are sections on the loading and firing of the gun and descriptions of the manufacturing of the segmented shell, together with the operation of the wooden ‘Boxer’ time fuze:
