The latest update to the Ordnance Society’s National Artillery Survey has been uploaded to the website.  There are now 590 guns listed in our survey, many of which are linked to photos on our Flickr page. of the individual guns.  The latest addition is a very rare and old French RBL gun, of 1877 vintage, which was recovered from a torpedoed, armed merchant ship, the SS Eastfield.  A history of the gun, the ship, its loss, and the subsequent recovery of the gun, is published in our next Newsletter.
